Atretic Parietal Meningocele
- Most occur in parietal region or within a few centimeters of the lambda.
- Contain meninges and neural rests
- They have a benign clinical course; patients are intellectually normal
- Associated with persistent falcine sinus, absent or hypoplastic straight sinus, focal splitting of the superior sagittal sinus, overlying bone defect, 'peaking' of the tentorium, fibrous stalk coursing into subcutaneous bleb/cyst, atrophic skin overlying lesion
