- Quick and Easy Setup: AJNR provides user-friendly Accepted Manuscript templates specific to each section of the journal that can be used to set up your expedited publication.
- Rapid Dissemination: See your template published on the AJNR website within 3 business days of our editorial office receiving the template.
- Expedited Availability in PubMed: Each AJNR accepted article with a template is assigned a DOI, indexed in PubMed, and becomes citable within 3 business days of our editorial office receiving the template. With our new, fast peer-review process, this is approximately 4–6 weeks after the original submission of your manuscript if it is accepted.

For each section of your manuscript, simply copy and paste using the "Match Destination Formatting" option. This ensures that your text conforms to the specific formatting guidelines of our template. - Proofs: To facilitate AJNR’s rapid publication format, authors will not receive proofs for their Accepted Manuscript templates. Templates will be published exactly as our editorial office receives them. You will still receive proofs for your article, typically 2–3 months after acceptance and a final copyedited version of your article will replace the template after editorial revisions. If you forego the template, you will have to wait several months before your article is published in the AJNR and available in PubMed.
IMPORTANT CAVEAT: The Accepted Manuscript templates will appear as you submit them. Lists of authors for groups will only appear if you include them in the template. Supplemental material will only appear if you include it in the template. Figure quality will be exactly the same as the quality of the figures you include in the template.
