In this study, patients’ individual risk factors, intensity, and extent of cerebral vasospasm associated with poor functional outcomes after endovascular treatment of aneurysmal SAH. Analysis showed an association of higher age, higher Hunt and Hess grades, the occurrence of rebleeding, and bihemispheric vasospasm with unfavorable outcome (mRS 3-6).

BensonAmerican Journal of Neuroradiology March 2025, 46 (3) 567-571; DOI: https://doi.org/10.3174/ajnr.A8498
Increased 3D-FLAIR postgadolinium signal intensity of the ipsilateral labyrinth associated with vestibular schwannoma was shown to be correlated with sensorineural hearing loss. The study found that measured intralabyrinthine signal is associated with greater degrees of sensorineural hearing loss on audiometry.
