Sinus Pericranii
- Refers to communication between intracranial venous sinuses and epicranial veins
- Symptoms are infrequent and include cosmetic defects, headache, vertigo, local fullness and pain (may be associated with Blue Rubber Bleb Nevus syndrome), and bone defects.
- May increase in size or disappear due to thrombosis
- In case of surgery or intravenous treatment, catheter angiography or direct puncture angiogram may be needed to delineate neck.
- Rarely, they may attain "giant" proportions.
