Pairs of image sets spin labeled on the medial and lateral side were used. A pixel-by-pixel t test was performed, with blue gradation used to display lateral perfusion (ie, middle cerebral artery) and orange gradation for anterior cerebral artery perfusion. Extensions of anterior cerebral artery perfusion areas in cases of middle cerebral artery stenosis were described. This method may aid in estimation of collateral circulation for stroke treatment.
